The Wistaston Community Council ‘Fireworks Display’ will take place on Saturday November 4 – but without the traditional parade due to a lack of volunteers.

The event normally includes a Torchlight, Fancy Dress & Pumpkin Parade through the village.

More than 11,000 households sign up to CEC garden waste scheme

More than 11,300 households in Cheshire East have so far signed up to the council’s subscription scheme to have their garden waste bins emptied from next year.

Of those, 9,500 have already paid the annual £56 charge, which has boosted the council’s coffers by £532,000.
