Five candidates will battle it out in the Crewe West ward next month for a seat on Cheshire East Council.
The seat became vacant after former Labour councillor Connor Naismith was elected as the new Crewe and Nantwich MP in July’s general election.

A General Election hustings for Crewe & Nantwich constituency took place inside St Mary’s Church in Nantwich last night.
The traditional hustings was chaired by Paul Boniface, who welcomed the audience and introduced the candidates by name and party.

Six candidates have thrown their hats into the general election ring in a bid to become MP for Chester South and Eddisbury.
The seat covers many rural areas near Nantwich, including Audlem, Bunbury, Wrenbury, Sound, Burland, Tarporley, and now Wybunbury after boundary changes.

Eight candidates will battle it out in the general election in a bid to become the next MP for Crewe and Nantwich.
Ben Fletcher is the new Conservative candidate and will be hoping the Tories can keep hold of the seat which has had a tendency to alternate between Labour and Conservative over the past few years.
Cheshire East Council is to stage a briefing session for all candidates standing for Crewe & Nantwich in July 4 General Election.
Candidates and their agents are invited to the session on May 31 in Macclesfield Town Hall.

Cheshire East residents will get their chance on May 2 to vote in the election for the county’s next Police and Crime Commissioner.
The job of the PCC is to hold the police to account.
Five candidates will battle it out in the Crewe Central ward next month for a seat on Cheshire East Council.
Te Ata Brown is standing for the Green party while Kim Jamson will be hoping she can hold on to the seat for Labour.
Candidates wishing to stand for the vacant Crewe Central seat on Cheshire East Council have until 4pm next Friday January 12 to submit their nominations.
The seat is up for grabs following the resignation of Anthony Critchley, who stepped down to pursue other opportunities and interests.

Labour has put up 60 candidates for the 82 seats up for election on Cheshire East Council.
The party has run the council jointly with the Independent Group for the past four years, after the Conservatives lost overall control in the 2019 local elections.
Independents and local parties have always fielded a large number of candidates in the Cheshire East Council elections over the years – and 2023 is no different.
For the last four years the Independent Group has jointly run Cheshire East with Labour, after the council went to no overall control in 2019.

All 82 seats are up for grabs in next month’s Cheshire East Council elections.
Altogether 254 candidates are standing across the borough, with the Conservatives putting forward the most candidates at 81 and Labour fielding 60.

Cheshire East Council is run by Macclesfield for Macclesfield.
Sadly the biggest and most economically deprived town in the borough, Crewe, does not get a look in.
