LETTER: No shortage of CEC money for councillor allowances

LETTER: No shortage of CEC money for councillor allowances

Dear Editor,
Labour run Cheshire East increased councillor allowances by a whopping £500 a year …and they have even backdated it.

But they voted NOT to increase allowances before the election in May.

LETTER: Why more traffic in Crewe and Nantwich than before pandemic?

LETTER: Why more traffic in Crewe and Nantwich than before pandemic?

Dear Editor,
Prior to Lockdown in March 2020, traffic was busy at rush hour throughout our area, Nantwich Road as an example etc.

Since we came out of the pandemic traffic queues have got much bigger, Nantwich Road from the B&Q roundabout to past Manor Road towards Nantwich are an example.

LETTER: A Cheshire East Paradox in Planning AND Partnership

LETTER: A Cheshire East Paradox in Planning AND Partnership

Dear Editor,
At last week’s full Council meeting we witnessed an irate Independent Leader attempt to hold his Labour partners to account, as they kicked-back over scrapping the Strategic Planning Board to save money.

He spectacularly failed!

LETTER: Stop turning our town into a tip

LETTER: Stop turning our town into a tip

Dear Editor,
I was disgusted earlier today to find the above in Welsh Row.

Paper torn up and thrown onto the footpath by pupils from Malbank School who obviously have no respect for the town that they are being educated in.

LETTER: CEC’s cut back plan for libraries is “atrocious”

LETTER: CEC’s cut back plan for libraries is “atrocious”

Dear Editor,
Cheshire East Council has made a proposition to change the library opening hours.

This I find atrocious cutting a valuable public service and much wanted community space.

LETTER: NHS needs better management and less bureaucrats

LETTER: NHS needs better management and less bureaucrats

Dear Editor,
What the NHS needs is much better management and less bureaucrats, pen-pushers and equality and diversity advisers.

Hospital waiting lists have reached a record high of 7.4 million….and that is in England alone.

LETTER: New Crewe car park ” blot on the landscape”

LETTER: New Crewe car park ” blot on the landscape”

Dear Editor,
The new multi storey car park in Crewe Town Centre is a monument to the stupidity of Crewe’s Labour Councillors.

Nobody asked for a multi storey car park. Nobody wants a multi storey car park.

LETTER: The pothole shame of Cheshire East

LETTER: The pothole shame of Cheshire East

Dear Editor,
I’ve just returned from Cornwall and did some miles around the county and this time I noticed three potholes.

Looking out of our window into a small close of 16 properties and only seeing half the road I count 22 pot holes, admittedly not at the depth meeting CEC’s deep and damaging defect standards, but will soon do so.
