Travellers were forcibly removed from Nantwich Cricket Club grounds by police after setting up a third unauthorised encampment in as many days in the area.
Police gave the travellers a Section 60C notice to leave the site by 10.30am this morning (July 12).
Nantwich councillors are keen on a plan to build and install concrete chess tables in the town.
The council was told last night (July 11) that the idea was mooted by a resident who contacted the authority.
Nantwich Police say they are stepping up their fight to crackdown on anti-social youths using electric bikes.
