A charity offering South Cheshire children pre-loved football boots has kicked off a new season with one of the area’s biggest clubs.
Nantwich Town FC is onboard with the football boot initiative run by Motherwell Cheshire as part of its commitment to helping parents cut costs while saving wearable items from going to landfill.

The Dabbers goal scorers were Jade Buckley-Ratcliff, Poppy Smith, Grace Duckworth, and Natalie Walker.
Nantwich Town have landed a key signing in midfielder Tom Reilly ahead of the new 2024-25 season.
Reilly was a key part of Leek Town’s title win in the Northern Premier League West last season, making 39 appearances and scoring twice.

Nantwich Town played their final pre-season game in a special joint 140th anniversary celebration match against Prescot Cables.
Both clubs were formed in 1884, so the teams played to win the inaugural “1884 Cup” at the Swansway Stadium.
Nantwich Town captain Troy Bourne received a special honour at their pre-season game with Wolves U21s, marking a decade of service for the Dabbers.
Bourne received a guard of honour from both teams when welcomed onto the pitch on Friday.
Nantwich Town continue their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2024-25 season with a 1-0 defeat to Warrington.

A pre-season ‘Nantwich Town FC Women vs Crewe Alex Legends’ charity football match will take place this Saturday July 6.
The game will be held at Nantwich Town’s Swansway Stadium on Waterlode, kick off 11am.
Nantwich Town club captain Troy Bourne has signed a contract to remain at the club for the 2024/25 season.
Bourne’s long association with the club has seen him rise through the youth ranks to the first team captain.

Macclesfield scored a 96th minute goal to win the Cheshire FA Women’s Challenge Cup with a 1-0 victory over Nantwich Town at The Swansway Stadium.
A record Dabbers Women’s crowd of 324 watched as the vastly superior resources of Macclesfield did not translate onto the pitch for the majority of the game.
