Willaston White Star finished their season with a 2-6 defeat at the hands of George & Dragon in the Crewe Regional Sunday League.
George & Dragon, who are still chasing leaders Betley FC, led 0-2 after just six minutes and were 0-5 ahead at half time.

Luke Robinson’s sparkling start to the Cheshire County Cricket League season continued as he guided Nantwich to an emphatic victory over old rivals Chester Boughton Hall.

Jason Foulkes had a debut to remember as he bowled Nantwich to an emphatic victory on the opening day of the Cheshire County Cricket League season.
The all-rounder, who signed from St Asaph after impressing in a National Club Championship game against the Dabbers last season, took 7-36 at Cheadle as the home side came up 75 runs short of their target.

June Deeley, 70, is a coach and welfare officer for Crewe and Nantwich Gymnastics Club and has been shortlisted in the Volunteer of the Year category ahead of the British Gymnastics Awards.
