A fund-raising “Make Time for our Christmas Concert” has helped raise vital funds to restore the St Mary’s Church clockface in Acton, near Nantwich.
The concert featured the highly acclaimed Acton Operatic Society who performed traditional and contemporary Christmas songs.
Christmas walk raises money for Acton Church

The annual Acton Church Christmas Walk took place on December 12.
Around 120 walkers, some with dogs, took part and were split into three separate groups with separate walk leaders.
Acton CE Primary Academy children sock it to bullying
Children at Acton CE Primary Academy pulled their socks up for a week of anti-bullying activities.
Odd Socks day marked the start of Anti-Bullying Week at the school near Nantwich, to support the nationwide drive organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

The annual Acton Church Christmas Walk takes place on Sunday December 12.
The pre-Christmas walk will route through the grounds of Dorfold Hall to view the exterior of all and a walk up its driveway.
New glass doors officially opened at Acton church

Two large, hinged glass doors at the west entrance to St Mary’s Church in Acton were officially opened and blessed by Rev’d Canon John Malbon.
In his speech, prior to cutting a ribbon to officially open the new doors, Rev’d Canon John Malbon said that solid doors present a physical barrier to communication, they say ‘Keep out’.

The ‘Tea at The Tower’ walks are at a relaxed pace from 1pm.

Fire crews were called to tackle a blaze in the back of a bin lorry in Acton, Nantwich.
The fire broke out at around 12.30pm today (August 9) when the lorry was on Swanley Lane, Acton.

The Anglican parish church, which was designated a Grade I listed building in 1967, is having repairs done to a section of parapet on the north side of the chancel of the church due to weathering.

St Mary’s Church in Acton has organised a self-guided and socially distanced “Follow the Star” walk on Sunday December 20.
The walk between 12-3pm has stars as interval markers to identify the route that departs the large free car park on Chester Road opposite to Dorfold Hall gardens.
