More than 90% of 999 calls are now being answered by Cheshire Police within 10 seconds compared to 76% this time last year.

Vetting procedures for police recruits in Cheshire have been tightened since a serving officer was jailed for raping a 13-year-old girl, the force’s commissioner has said.
PC Ian Naude, who was then 30, was jailed for 25 years in 2018 for raping the teenager and for four convictions relating to sexual offences against other children.
Cheshire College – South & West’s on-campus nursery ‘Starting Point’ has been awarded “Outstanding” status by Ofted.
The nursery, on the Crewe campus, was inspected in August and staff are “overwhelmed” to have maintained their Outstanding rating.

Millfields Primary School in Nantwich has been hailed as a “very special place” by Ofsted during a recent inspection.
The school and nursey, off Marsh Lane, was given an overall “Good” rating after the inspection visited in January.
