The recently built Coppenhall Place, on the site of the former Crewe Works off West Street, was granted planning permission in 2018.

Cheshire East is still looking into how much privately-owned green land it has been maintaining at the council tax payers’ expense – but says a report is due next month.

The council’s environment and communities committee was told in October last year the authority had been maintaining 547 parcels of land not registered as being owned by the council.

Residents with smaller black household waste bins will have to pay for a larger one if they need it after Cheshire East introduces the new garden bin collection charge.

The £56 garden waste charge, which is due to be introduced in January, will inevitably result in an increase in rubbish dumped in black bins.

The team of three, studying Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry, will showcase their skills at the Manchester Central Exhibition Complex on Saturday September 9 in a bid to be crowned Interflora’s Student Team of the Year.
