Four Nantwich friends have completed the gruelling “3 peaks challenge” in just 22 hours and 22 minutes in aid of a children’s cancer charity.

Callum Hood, Brandon Mighten, Matthew Moulton and Jordan Long teamed up to complete the challenge and raise funds for CLIC Sargent Cancer Care for Children.

Cheshire East Council is working with the Home Office to offer places to live for Ukrainians seeking refuge following the invasion by Russia.

Council leader Sam Corcoran said the council has a “very good track record” of welcoming Syrian refugees, unaccompanied asylum seeking children and Afghan interpreters and their families and providing them with both temporary and permanent accommodation.
