A retrospective application for a replacement concrete batching plant in countryside near Nantwich has been recommended for approval despite objections from two parish councils and 51 residents.
The Graham Heath Group has applied for permission for change of use from mixed storage and retail on land at Station Yard, Wrenbury Road, Aston, to general industrial use along with the provision of a replacement concrete plant.

Plans to use a rural outbuilding near Nantwich for pet and horse cremations have been recommended for approval.
But the application, which includes two incinerators at the rural building at Doddington Mill House, off Mill Lane in Doddington, has been “called in” by local councillor Janet Clowes.
There were 264 cat cruelty complaints made in Cheshire last year, new figures from the RSPCA show.
And nationally, there were almost 18,000 cat cruelty complaints reported, with 1,726 logged as intentional harm incidents.

Food recycling will formally stop next year in Cheshire East as legally authorities are not allowed to charge to collect food waste.
Government funded highways works are set to take place at major traffic light junctions in Crewe this month, says Cheshire East Council.

Residents are to be asked their views on plans to extend Cheshire East’s FlexiLink ‘dial-a-ride’ bus service so more people can use it and drive passenger numbers up.
FlexiLink offers a personalised, door-to-door service and operates in a similar way to a traditional ‘dial-a-ride’.
