The closure less than two years after it was opened on Pillory Street in September 2021.

Eighty-seven residents turned up at polling stations in Cheshire East and were denied a vote because they didn’t have the correct photo ID.

Altogether 188 people had turned up without ID, but 101 had later returned with it and were issued with a ballot paper.

Reaseheath College horticulture students have planted a cherry blossom tree outside St Mary’s Church in Nantwich to mark the coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The Prunus incisa ‘Mikinori’ is a small Fuji tree that is covered with bee-friendly pink flowers in Spring and develops colourful foliage in the Autumn.

Nantwich town councillors have supported a plan to crowdfund a memorial to Michael “Flash” Meakin who died last month.
