Reaseheath student project hailed by British Horse Society

A project by Reaseheath College equine students in Nantwich to identify safe off road routes for horse riders has been recognised with a British Horse Society (BHS) national award.

The students plotted more than 300 bridleways or footpaths with bridleway rights in Staffordshire which could be lost if not officially re-recorded on new maps by 2026.

Youth parliament representatives for Cheshire East have called for more decision-making power when it comes to mental health support in schools.

Ruben Barrow, 15, from Crewe, and Millie Oldroyd, 16, from Middlewich, made the plea following the online “Taboo” conference, which aimed to highlight the mental health challenges faced by young people.
