“The Farmer’s Pants” free 11-mile cycle rides are returning to Ravensmoor near Nantwich.
They take place every Friday evening from Marsh Lane in the village of Ravensmoor.
The town will be marking VE Day 80 in Nantwich with a series of moving events and speeches on May 8 2025.
It will start with a Proclamation at 9.00am, read by Joe O’Leary and Jake Johns of Nantwich branch of Royal British Legion.
Nantwich is not noted for its links to the ocean!
But this week manta rays, the ocean’s gentle giants, will be making a rare appearance in the town thanks to a local expert.
Nantwich Museum is turning back the clock to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Everyone is welcome to attend a drop in event at the museum celebrating Victory in Europe Day on May 8 when there will be themed refreshments in the Millennium Gallery from 10am and 4pm.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the first public running day of 2025 at the popular Peacock Railway in Willaston.
The miniature-gauge railway, behind The Peacock Inn on Crewe Road, is run by the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society.
Living Lines is a new exhibition at Nantwich Museum showcasing the talent and creativity of local artists through life drawing and figurative works.

The iconic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will pass over the 44th annual Marbury Merry Days country fair, organisers have confirmed.
This year’s fair takes place on May 10-11, the weekend which will mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

theFUNKYchoir is spearheading a “musical extravaganza” event to be staged in Nantwich town centre on April 5.
The community choir, formed in 2012, performs throughout South Cheshire and at events like Nantwich Show, Nantwich Food Festival, Crewe Remembrance Service and fund-raising events.
