Combermere Abbey opens restored gardens to visitors

Combermere Abbey is re-opening its historic walled gardens to the public first the first time after a five-year break.

The abbey, between Nantwich and Whitchurch, will be open between Tuesday May 13 and Tuesday June 17.

Nantwich Museum is staging a special exhibition this week to mark the anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.

VE Day was declared on May 8th 1945, the day after Germany surrendered unconditionally marking the end of World War Two in the west.

Nantwich Museum is turning back the clock to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
