Everybody Health and Leisure are organising free “Ramblers Wellbeing Walks” to mark National Walking Month.
And it will include the relaunch of weekend walks from Nantwich Leisure Centre starting this Sunday May 26.

Crewe and District Writers’ Circle are celebrating six decades of creativity with a ’60th Anniversary Party’ on June 14.
The celebration, from 6:30-9pm, will take place at Poppy’s community restaurant in the Hope & Beams Centre on Broad Street, Crewe.

Nantwich Museum is set to launch its “two talks” evening in the venue’s Millennium Gallery on Wednesday June 12.
The talks, from 7pm – 9pm, are titled ‘Baddiley – an ancient parish’ by Graham Dodd, and ‘Helen Macfarlane – the revolutionary of Baddiley’ by Helen Cooke.

Thousands of people basked in warm sunshine as they enjoyed the 43rd annual Marbury Merry Days country fair.
The fair, organised by St Michael & All Angels Parochial Church Council, was opened by the Cheshire Dairy Queen Team – Charlotte Kinsey, Hannah Reade and Olivia Wain – who are ambassadors for Cheshire Young Farmers.
The final “Very Best In Stand Up” of the current season rolls into Nantwich on June 7.
And organisers have lined up four more top comedy acts to finish off the 14th season at Nantwich Civic Hall.

The annual Theodore William Gill Cup charity football match will take place this Saturday (May 18) at Nantwich Town’s Swansway Stadium.
The match is in memory of baby Theodore William Gill who was born sleeping on April 26 2023.
Nantwich Town will be staging a live comedy night on Friday May 17 with five acts performing.
The event is organised by Front Guy Gary Entertainment & Event Management and will take place in the club’s Atherton & Associates Suite.

I was gifted a copy of the book ‘The Girl on The Train’ by Paula Hawkins for my birthday a few years ago by one of my close friends.

A charity football match is to take place in Nantwich in aid of a local player battling against Motor Neurone Disease.
The match will feature Nantwich Pirates FC against Old Stars FC at Nantwich Town’s Swansway Stadium on Saturday June 8.
An exhibition called “The Seasons” by local textile art group Connected Threads has opened in the Millennium Gallery, Nantwich Museum and runs until Saturday 6 July.
Connected threads are a lively, friendly group with a love of stitch their aim is to promote stitch as a way to relax, make friends and improve wellbeing.
