New Nantwich primary school opening delayed by a year

A new primary school which was due to open in Nantwich in 2024 has been delayed for a year because of legal, planning and cost-related issues.

Planning permission was granted in June for the new 210-pupil Kingsbourne Academy on the Kingsley Fields development.

The park gates were opened at 5pm, the bonfire (making a return this year) was lit at 6:30pm and the fireworks started at 8pm.

Barbara, who died in August, volunteered at Seahorse from 1956 until 2001, where she spent most of her time in the role of chief instructor.
