South Cheshire’s The Cat community radio station has its 10th anniversary of broadcasting on 107.9FM.
It was the first radio station in Crewe and Nantwich to be awarded a full-time FM licence.

Nantwich Town played their final pre-season game in a special joint 140th anniversary celebration match against Prescot Cables.
Both clubs were formed in 1884, so the teams played to win the inaugural “1884 Cup” at the Swansway Stadium.

Shavington Village remembers war heroes in D-Day events

Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council has hosted a two-day exhibition to commemorate the 80th D-Day landings anniversary.
The free-entry exhibition took place at Shavington Village Hall and included displays of artefacts, documents, memorabilia and information from the World Wars, curated by local respected historian Mark Potts.
