Presenters from local community radio station The Cat compered the event, which was organised by Nantwich Town Council.

I enjoy the Christmas lights in the Nantwich and Crewe town centres.
But I also really enjoy the over-the-top Christmas lights and decorations – including the occasional inflatable decoration and light show – that some local residents setup each year.

At their recent meeting, I criticised the Labour run Crewe Town Council for not allowing the people of Crewe to attend the official switch on of the Xmas Lights.
Usually this is a big event, which marks the beginning of the Xmas celebrations, with entertainment and street stalls etc.
