Cat Xtra, the sister station of local community radio station The Cat, is now broadcasting on small scale digital radio on the Crewe and Nantwich multiplex in South Cheshire.
Cat Xtra started out as a project aimed at getting younger people into radio.
Crewe and Nantwich community radio station The Cat FM has won a DAB licence from Ofcom.
The station was among the winners of the round 2 bid to provide SSDAB (small-scale DAB) Radio in the North West.

And tickets are now available for the first one – the NP Studio staging of “A 1940s Christmas Carol” by Walton Jones.

The station was awarded a community radio licence by regulator Ofcom in February 2014.
New studio signage is in place as part of The Cat Community Radio Station’s move to South Cheshire College.
The new Crewe and Nantwich-based FM station moved into a new space at the college in November 2014 from its former base off Beam Heath Way, Nantwich.
