The popular community run/walk/wheel was started by a musketeer on the same day as the annual Battle of Nantwich ‘Holly Holy Day’ English Civil War re-enactment.

Thousands of people witnessed the 52nd annual Battle of Nantwich ‘Holly Holy Day’ English Civil War re-enactment in glorious winter sunshine.
Activities took place during the day at St Mary’s Acton, St Mary’s Nantwich, Nantwich Museum, Pillory Street pillory, and the town square.

The town is gearing up for the annual “Battle of Nantwich” Holly Holy Day event which takes place on Saturday January 25.
The Sealed Knot troops will gather to re-enact the original battle which took place in 1644, marking the end of the siege of the town during the English Civil War.
Organisers of the 2025 Battle of Nantwich re-enactment are appealing for more volunteers to help at the event.
The annual Holly Holy Day re-enactment takes place on Saturday 25th January.
Richmond Villages Nantwich has been named as headline sponsor for the annual Battle of Nantwich re-enactment.
The event, to take place on January 25, draws thousands of visitors each year.

The Nantwich community and members of the Sealed Knot are mourning the sudden death of Colin Bisset, of Nantwich.
Colin, who died recently of a heart attack, aged 83, was a devoted member of the Sealed Knot for many years.

The event took place in and around Nantwich town centre and on Mill Island yesterday (Saturday January 27).
St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane in Acton staged several events during the annual ‘Holly Holy Day’ on Saturday.
The events took place on the same day as The Sealed Knot Battle of Nantwich re-enactment in Nantwich
Activities begin at 10am today (January 27) for the annual Battle of Nantwich re-enactment.
There are general activities around the town centre between 10am and 12.45pm.

A Sealed Knot musketeer will start this weekend’s community ‘Dabbers Dash’ event – held on the same day as the “Battle of Nantwich” re-enactment.
The ‘Dabbers Dash’ is a free informal community run/walk/wheel that takes place one Saturday each month around Barony Park and Sandford Road.
