Nantwich Museum has launched some early Winter talks which will all take place in the Museum’s Millennium Gallery.
The first takes place on Friday November 8 from 3.30pm, called “lllustrating History” by Les Pickford.
Nantwich Museum is repeating talks about the village of Baddiley and its one-time resident Helen Macfarlane due to demand.
The talks will be repeated on Wednesday 31 July, 7pm-9pm, for those who were not able to attend them first time around.
Nantwich Museum is to stage a series of talks alongside its new forthcoming exhibition “Our High Street, its history, buildings and people”.

Nantwich Museum is set to launch its “two talks” evening in the venue’s Millennium Gallery on Wednesday June 12.
The talks, from 7pm – 9pm, are titled ‘Baddiley – an ancient parish’ by Graham Dodd, and ‘Helen Macfarlane – the revolutionary of Baddiley’ by Helen Cooke.

They have been put together to accompany the venue’s summer “A Spectacle of Sport” exhibition which launches on July 21.
Holly Holy Day in Nantwich is Saturday January 22 – the day residents celebrated the end in 1644 of the Royalist siege of the town by wearing a sprig of holly in their hats.
And while this year’s Battle of Nantwich re-enactment has been cancelled due to Covid, there are other events taking place to commemorate the occasion.
Crewe Photographic Society is celebrating its 75th season this year in style – with a programme of talks and demonstrations.
It all starts on September 16 with an introductory evening and it is all happening online.
A series of online talks will be held by Nantwich Museum to support its new exhibition, “Ouch! A slightly horrible history of health and disease in Nantwich”.
The exhibition is currently running in the Millennium Gallery at the museum until Saturday October 23.
