A decision on how this year’s Nantwich Food Festival will be run is likely to be made by Easter, said councillors and organisers.
The popular three-day festival brings tens of thousands of visitors to the town in early September.

Nantwich has the highest parish precept in Cheshire East = £122.66 for a Band D household.
This is going up by 42.5% for 2021/2022 = £52.13 = £174.79.
Nantwich residents are facing a 42.5% rise in their Town Council tax base after councillors voted through a controversial budget plan tonight (December 10).
It means all properties facing a £1 per week increase in the town council portion of their bill from April 2021.

An array of imaginative and eye-catching displays are providing a festive feel and encouraging people to shop local and back businesses in the run up to Christmas.
Nantwich Town Council has teamed up with traders to launch a “find the nutcracker” competition to encourage shoppers into independent stores.
From tomorrow (December 3) families are encouraged to hunt for 10 Nutcracker figures dotted in independent shops around the town.
The Nantwich Tree of Light is shining brightly in the town square, adorned with baubles paying tribute to loved ones.
Like last year, residents were able to donate £5 to dedicate a bauble on the tree to a loved one or a special cause.
Nantwich Town council has unveiled a three-year action plan – which includes enhancing green spaces and possibly offering free public wi-fi.
The 24-page 2019 Corporate Strategic Plan sets out the council’s aims and objectives for the next three years, 2020-2023.
Allotment holders and NHS specialists have unveiled plans to develop and open a Nantwich Community Health and Therapy Garden.
The garden would be located at Brookfield Allotments in the town, and be used by health experts to prescribe to those with mental health symptoms.
Town councillors in Nantwich are desperate to boost the number of public toilets in the town – to prevent visitors and shoppers getting caught short.
The number of public toilets has dwindled over the past few years, and the only one remaining is by the indoor market hall.
Two Nantwich organisations have stepped up pressure on Cheshire East Council to rethink bringing back car parking charges in the town.
Many retailers and residents are furious at the decision by CEC to reintroduce the charges on the day non-essential shops are allowed to reopen as lockdown restrictions ease.
