Money from a fund-raising event at Nantwich Museum has been stolen, venue bosses said.
The event was held yesterday (March 31), but the money was swiped at around 1.15pm.

A Cheshire Police officer was sacked for gross misconduct over complaints he touched female colleagues’ bottoms and made inappropriate remarks on nights out.
PC James Sarson was dismissed after “inappropriate sexualised and disorderly behaviour” towards a number of female colleagues in the force in 2021.

The incident happened on Audlem Road and involved one vehicle, with fire crews from Crewe attending.

The Health and Safety Executive has been called in to investigate how workers botched a felling attempt and sent a tree crashing across a busy Crewe road.
The two were caught on video chopping down the tree, which then crashed across West Street, blocking the road and narrowly missing a passing car.
