Nantwich Cricket Club’s first team got its delayed 2024 season off to the perfect start with an emphatic win at Neston.
After winning the toss, skipper Ray Doyle put the home side into bat and Jimmy Warrington – who missed most of last season through injury – led the Dabbers’ bowling effort, taking four wickets as Neston were bowled out for 167.

A fourth annual charity football match at Nantwich Town has helped raise more than £2,500.
The match, usually played at Crewe Alexandra FC’s Mornflake Stadium, was hosted by the Dabbers due to the Alex reaching the League Two play-offs.
George & Dragon won the final of the Crewe FA Sunday Cup beating Winsford Over 5-0 at the Cumberland Arena.
James Cain scored a braced, and other goals were scored by Matty Birchall, Zack Billinge and Robbie Hatton.

Nantwich Pirates beat Cheshire Cat 4-1 in the Final of the Crewe & District FA Sunday Vase at the Cumberland Arena.
The Pirates were 3-0 up after a brace from Alex Beedles and a goal from Liam Hayes-Porter.
