A controversial 188-home scheme for Nantwich has been deferred by councillors because of safety concerns over a play area and the lack of allotments.

St Mary’s Church in Acton, near Nantwich, have organised ‘Holly Holy Day’ events on Saturday January 21, on the day of The Sealed Knot Battle of Nantwich re-enactment.
The church will be open from 9am until 11.30am serving hot drinks and buttered toast.
Tarporley-based choir Decibellas has dished out more than £2,000 to local causes it raised from concerts held in 2022 at St Boniface Church in Bunbury.
Most of the proceeds have been awarded to local charities through small grants, it says.
