Man arrested for Calveley burglary released by police
A 25-year-old man from Merseyside arrested in connection with a burglary in Calveley near Nantwich has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Cheshire fire crews have battled two property fires in Audlem and Tarporley.
They were called to a property on a farm on Bagley Lane in Audlem where a fire had started above a fireplace.

An elderly woman in Shavington fell victim to fraudsters claiming to be Cheshire Police officers and lost £10,000.
The 81-year-old victim received a telephone call from a man who wanted to speak to her in relation to her bank account.

Fire crews were called to the incident which happened at around 8.20pm on Badcocks Lane last night (November 19).
Fire crews tackled a blaze involving a mobile crane on the A54 in Tarporley.
The fire broke out at around 7am today (November 19).

Wistaston in Bloom have won the Gold Award in the Town Category at the ‘Britain in Bloom’ (North West) 2019 awards for the second year in succession.
They received their certificate at a ceremony at the Southport Convention Centre.

Wistaston Scout Group (35th South West Cheshire) produced a fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives in war and conflict.
The group put together an impressive vertical display of poppies, made of plastic bottle ends painted red to resemble poppies, with the Union Flag flying on top.
