Nantwich Concert Band are to perform their annual Christmas Concert in the town on December 10.
It will take place in Nantwich Civic Hall at starts at 2.30pm.

The Nantwich Singers are to stage their Christmas Concert at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich.
The concert, called ‘O Nata Lux’, will take place at 3pm on Sunday December 10.
Cheshire choir Decibellas appoints new assistant director
Liv Westhead has been appointed the first ever assistant musical director for Cheshire upper voices choir, Decibellas.
Liv, 30, a singer and singing teacher in the county, will support Marcus Williams, musical director with Decibellas since 2016.

It’s unveiled! Santa’s Sleigh Route for 2023 has been unveiled by Crewe & Nantwich Round Table.
Families can now start to plan so youngsters can meet Santa on the ever-popular Christmas Float.
Crewe Library Creative Writers Group stages competition
A poetry competition is being held by Crewe Library Creative Writers’ Group.
The group, which has been established for many years, is encouraging budding poets to get involved and send in entries by the closing date of Tuesday 5th December 6pm.
Money raised in memory of Seahorse Swimming Club founder

The family of Barbara Warrington, one of Seahorse Swimming Club’s founder members, visited Crewe Lifestyle Centre to present a cheque to the club in her memory.
Barbara, who died in August, volunteered at Seahorse from 1956 until 2001, where she spent most of her time in the role of chief instructor.

The 15th annual ‘Smell The 2 Stroke’ event took place at The Railway Hotel – on Pillory Street in Nantwich.

A one-off free Flower Arranging workshop is being held at Nantwich Growing Health Community Garden tomorrow (August 31).
The session starts at 5.30pm at the garden on Brookfield Park allotments.

A Nantwich woman has launched a new support group for females in the town, called HerSpace.
The network, which already has groups in Sandbach, Congleton and Macclesfield, aims to give women a space to socialise and focus on mental wellbeing.

Peacock Railway volunteers are to commemorate the 180th anniversary of the Grand Junction Railway Engineering Works moving from Edge Hill to Crewe.
When the Grand Junction Railway company opened its works there in 1843, Crewe was a village with a few hundred residents.
