Nantwich Library has relaunched language groups as Covid restrictions have eased.
These will include Welsh language groups on Mondays 2-3pm (beginners) and 3-4pm (intermediate).

Shavington boogie woogie king Tom Seals has announced a debut UK tour – with a homecoming gig at Crewe Lyceum in October.
The former South Cheshire College student is hitting the road with his “The 45s Tour” and he will performs at venues across England and Scotland.
Community views sought on re-imagining Nantwich Museum
Nantwich Museum is to stage a drop-in workshop open to all to collect and test ideas for re-imagining of the popular venue.
The workshop will take place at the Pillory Street venue on Saturday August 14.

Crewe Pride in the Park will now be held on Saturday September 25, organisers have announced.
The virtual event had initially been planned for August 14.
Local poet to perform at The Granary in Nantwich
Local poet Steven Langstaff will be performing live at The Granary in Nantwich on August 19.
Steven, originally from Hull, has lived in Nantwich for five years and has previously performed twice at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Family Fete with Teddy Bears Picnic in aid of Wingate Centre
The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury will host its 10th Teddy Bears Picnic in August at nearby Cholmondeley Castle.
The event on Sunday August 22 includes the popular Teddy Bear Hunt, Name the Teddy, art and crafts, stalls, Teddy Tombola, Lucky Dip, Hook a Duck, Face Painting, Bouncy, Balloon Animals and more.
Bobby Davro to star in Crewe Lyceum “Sleeping Beauty” panto
TV and stage comedian Bobby Davro and X Factor finalist Amelia Lily will star in Sleeping Beauty Christmas panto at Crewe Lyceum Theatre this year.
Davro and Lily will also be joined by Cheshire’s best-loved panto dame, Malcolm Lord, for the production to run from December 10 to January 2.

New arts courses are being staged this summer to offer Crewe and Nantwich youngsters a chance to develop skills.
Funding has been secured for Mako Create to run three different courses offering creative, technology-based workshops in Cheshire East.

A new Jim Cartwright production “The Rise and Fall of Little Voice” is to perform at Crewe Lyceum in 2022.
The show, produced by Katy Lipson and Glass Half Full Productions, will embark on a UK tour from March 2022.

Nantwich in Bloom organisers are calling on volunteers to help brighten up the town ahead of Britain in Bloom judging on July 30.
Each year, the town enters the annual awards for the best kept villages, towns and cities in the UK, and Nantwich has won numerous awards in the past.

Like so many others, I’ve been waiting patiently for the doors to be opened once more at The Players Theatre on Love Lane.
“Horrible history of health and disease” show at Nantwich Museum!
A new exhibition which may not be for the squeamish among us is opening at Nantwich Museum!
It’s called “Ouch! A slightly horrible history of health and disease in Nantwich” and runs in the Millennium Gallery until October 23.
