Nantwich Town boss Ritchie Sutton spoke of how proud he is of how the squad are buying into the plans of him and Gary Taylor-Fletcher as the Dabbers grabbed a dramatic late 1-0 win away at 10-man Warrington Rylands.
Nantwich Town Ladies FC lost 0 – 5 to Macclesfield FC Women in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League.
The Dabbers displayed composure and despite the score, Macclesfield struggled to break through the back line.
League leaders Betley won a high-scoring thriller at Winsford’s George & Dragon in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division.
With the Knights Grange pitches being declared unplayable, the game was played at Winsford Academy and Betley won 5-4.
Willaston White Star started the morning in second place in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division, but were comprehensively beaten 0-7 by NHB.

In the Crewe Regional Sunday League there were seven games in the second round of the Presidents Cup, two featuring Premier Division clubs.
George & Dragon were too strong for Audlem, winning 8-1, with goals from Jordan Johnson (3), Ben Brown (2), Robbie Hatton, Andy Houston and Steve Jenyons. Shea Bebbington netted for Audlem.
