Nantwich Players are about to get the show on the road – with two new productions in the next two months.
First up is their performance of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”.
Big names in music are heading to Nantwich to celebrate the town’s first ever involvement in the UK’s Independent Venue Week.
The line up for the six-night event includes a Mercury Music Prize nominee, a rising hip-hop star who has graced Glastonbury and a selection of the best new and rising artists locally.
Quartet Egerton Strings will back in Nantwich on February 1 to perform a “Best of the 70s” candlelight concert in St Mary’s Church.
The concert will feature the music of many 70s legends including Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and The Carpenters.

The town is gearing up for the annual “Battle of Nantwich” Holly Holy Day event which takes place on Saturday January 25.

An exhibition called “Landscapes to Surrealism” by local artist Ray Perez has opened at Nantwich Museum and is due to run until Saturday February 15.
The exhibition has a penchant for strong colours employing a variety of techniques including water colour, gouache, oil, acrylic and coloured pencil to portray a wide variety of subjects from local landscapes to abstract and surrealism.
The Nantwich Singers will be giving their Christmas Concert “The Ivy and the Holly?” in St Mary’s Church in Nantwich on December 15.
Starting at 3pm, the concert will help put residents in a festive mood with new twists on old favourites, carols to join in with, poetry, and some new classics.
