Some of Cheshire’s most beautiful gardens are being opened up to the public for all to enjoy in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
Several hospice supporters are opening their gardens this summer, while others who already open their gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme will raise money for the hospice through the sale of afternoon teas.

The mile-long road race, which features 550 feet of continuous climbing and a 25% gradient in places, takes place on Thursday, May 11.
Crewe Concert Band is to perform a charity show live at Nantwich Civic Hall next Sunday April 30.
The show is part of the Concert Band’s 40th anniversary celebrations, with special guests Crewe Brass.
South Cheshire Harriers’ annual Easter Sunday 10km race attracted special guest Port Vale Club President, John Rudge, as well as more than 300 runners from across the region.
The race, supported by Avanti West Coast, was a sell out event with male winner Alun Dight completing the course in 31:53 and female winner Donna Sherwin in 37:06.

Hundreds took place in the second annual “Nantwich 10k” road race to help raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The race took more than 1,000 participants on a 10k (6.2 miles) loop on closed roads, starting and finishing close to Nantwich town square.
A stage show by a South Cheshire theatre group will help raise funds for a Nantwich charity and other causes.
The show, called “Cheshire Cats”, marks the 50th anniversary year of Alsager Community Theatre.

The Studio nightclub is to host fundraising concerts as part of the Nantwich Jazz & Blues Festival.
The Festival, between April 6-10, will feature more than 100 gigs at pubs, restaurants, and other sites across Nantwich.

The women’s charity welcomed hundreds of people to Cheshire College, South & West where a day of entertainment included choirs, dance troupes and cheerleaders and a new *Women of the World* fashion parade celebrating the history of national costume.
