Brine Leas School in Nantwich is to stage two open evenings for year 7 and 12 admissions.
The year 7 admissions open evening takes place on Wednesday September 25, from 6.30-8.30pm.
A special Candlelight Concert celebrating the music of Queen and ABBA is to take place in St Mary’s Church in Nantwich.
The church has teamed up with string quartet “Egerton Strings” to stage the concert planned for October 19.
Organisers of the Nantwich Food Festival are bracing themselves for bumper crowds when the event opens next week.
The three-day festival opens on Friday August 30 and runs until Sunday September 1.

The festival takes place in Nantwich between August 30 and September 1, with tens of thousands of people expected to flock to the town.

The Food History Walking Tour will take place over the festival weekend, August 30-September 1, and include visits to Nantwich Museum on Pillory Street, The Cheese Shop on Hospital Street, Nantwich Market on Market Street and The Black Lion on Welsh Row.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Steam & Vintage Rally at The Peacock Railway in Nantwich.
The free entry event was organised by the members of the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society and took place on their premises at the rear of The Peacock Inn in Willaston.
An indoor craft and gift fair will be held in Nantwich Civic Hall this weekend.
The event is on Saturday July 27 and there will be more than 45 stalls.
