A fund-raising ‘Christmas Concert’ will take place on Saturday December 9 at St Mary’s Church in Acton.
The concert will feature the highly acclaimed Acton Operatic Society, performing a medley of Christmas favourites.
Nantwich Food Festival volunteers are urging locals to help Nantwich Foodbank support their clients again this Christmas.
They are staging a Drop-Off & Go event at Brine Leas School in Nantwich on Saturday November 25, between 10am-1pm.
Plans are already in place for a number of local Christmas events as we head into Autumn!
And The White Lion at Weston are ahead of the game, announcing the return of their Christmas Markets event once again, set for December 17.
Christmas goodwill is being felt this summer at St Luke’s Hospice thanks to a donation from Crewe and Nantwich Round Table.
A donation of £1,000, raised by the Round Table’s Santa sleigh tour of the area, has been donated to the hospice to help towards patient care.
Cheshire Police “safety buses” used in Nantwich and Crewe over Christmas and New Year have been hailed a success.
The buses were in Nantwich and Crewe for 12 nights and helped 377 people.
More than 1,790 people were arrested during Cheshire Police’s Christmas operation, including more than 200 in the Crewe and Nantwich area.
The force has issued its latest figures which show a rise of 23% in arrests compared to the previous year.

Cheshire East Council bosses refused to scrap parking charges until the end of the year to help high street shops because it can’t afford to lose an estimated £180,000.
Each town which has pay and display has four days free parking per year and the dates for this are decided by the relevant town or parish council.

A Wistaston householder has decorated his house in Christmas lights to raise money for charity.
For the sixth consecutive year Allyn Nightingale has dressed up his bungalow and driveway on Rope Bank Avenue with bells, baubles, hundreds of different coloured lights, lit-up trees and illuminated characters.
Students and staff from Reaseheath College and University Centre in Nantwich have pulled together to help local people in need over the festive period.
All departments collected non perishable food, household items, toiletries and festive treats in aid of Nantwich Foodbank.
Cheshire Police say they made 182 arrests across the county in its first weekend of a Christmas crackdown on crime.
Arrests were made for offences including assault, drunk and disorderly in a public space, drink driving, stalking, and domestic abuse.
