A “Proms Acton” fund-raising concert at St Mary’s Church in Acton has helped raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion.

The annual ‘Tree of Light’ in Nantwich was illuminated at a ceremony today (October 29).
Hundreds of people gathered outside the west doors to St Mary’s Church for a short ‘Remember with Light’ service of prayers, a hymn, a poem, and a song.
October sees the return of Nantwich’s popular Words and Music Festival, with massive names like Ocean Colour Scene, Rumer and PP Arnold performing live.
The event, which runs from October 9-15 inclusive, has been bringing household names from music and poetry to the town since 2008
A performance of ‘The Proms at Acton’ will take place in St Mary’s Church Acton on Remembrance Sunday November 12.
The concert will start at 6.30pm and include a medley of rousing music performed by the highly acclaimed Nantwich Concert Band.
Nantwich Choral Society is celebrating its special friendship with counterparts in France with a summer concert.
The singers are set to welcome a choir from Macon in France, Arpège à Coeur Joie, who will perform with them at St Mary’s Church on June 24 at 7.30pm.
The Nantwich Singers will be performing their summer concert “Music for a Summer’s Day” on July 13.
The concert will take place in St Mary’s Church in Nantwich.

A fund-raising ‘Spring Evening Concert’ helped to raise vital money in front of a capacity audience at St Mary’s Church in Acton.
The concert featured the highly acclaimed Acton Operatic Society who performed the best from the West End shows.
Reaseheath College horticulture students have planted a cherry blossom tree outside St Mary’s Church in Nantwich to mark the coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The Prunus incisa ‘Mikinori’ is a small Fuji tree that is covered with bee-friendly pink flowers in Spring and develops colourful foliage in the Autumn.
Pupils from 14 primary schools and two secondary schools in the Nantwich Education Partnership have helped to create these colourful Coronation Crowns for the town centre.
The crowns are on display on St Mary’s Church green and Whitebeam tree next to it.
Nantwich businesses and St Mary’s Church are getting ready for the King’s Coronation weekend.
Independent stores in the town centre have been dressing up their windows with Coronation-themed displays.
