A fund-raising ‘Charity Weekender’ Northern Soul music and dance event in Nantwich has helped raise thousands for charity.
The weekender, held at Nantwich Town’s stadium, featured DJs from the local area and beyond.
Organisers of the 2022 Nantwich Food Festival have hailed the three-day event a huge success.
They say it attracted 40,000+ visitors and 200 exhibitors and resulted in a town full of contented businesses.
Owners of the White Lion pub and hotel in Weston have invested £45,000 to transform its outdoor space.
And they will be unveiling the new “alfresco dining” area this weekend with a Family Fun Day at the Main Road venue.
Popular Nantwich farm shop Cheerbrook will feature in activities at Nantwich Museum during the 2022 Nantwich Food Festival.
Staff from Cheerbrook, based on Newcastle road, will give a free talk and a practical demonstration with samples on the making of their Scotch Eggs at Nantwich Museum.
Organisers say this year’s Nantwich Food Festival will be bigger and better than ever before, despite rising prices and a three-year absence due to Covid.
They say backing from Nantwich Town Council and Cheshire East Council as well as a range of sponsors mean the festival, including chef demonstrations, can continue to be free.
Officers in Crewe and Nantwich have organised activities this summer to keep children busy over the holidays.
Crewe Local Policing Unit have organised a Football Fun Day and a Fishing Competition to occupy children in August.
Organisers of the Nantwich Food Festival have landed a new sponsor for next month-s three-day event.
Crewe-based The Boulton Group have become a “Gold Festival Sponsor” of the town centre festival which will be held September 2-4.
Summer Holiday workshops will run at Nantwich Museum on four separate days in August. The drop-in workshops are inspired by the Pillory Street venue’s new “A Spectacle of Sport” exhibition and will take place on August 10, 11, 17 and 18. Thousands of people packed in to Audlem yesterday to enjoy the 23rd annual ‘Audlem Festival of Transport’.
The day began with a spectacular parade of more than 250 cars, commercial vehicles, tractors and motorcycles.
This Wednesday sees the return of the Nantwich Show after a three-year break due to poor weather and the pandemic.
The show’s new Showground is now off Wettenhall Road, behind the Reaseheath College campus in Nantwich.
Nantwich Police are staging free fishing and football events during the summer break.
Local officers will be holding their annual fishing match on August 18, between 10am and 3pm.
The Nantwich Clinic is running summer courses for children aimed at boosting healthy habits.
The courses aim to promote “wellness” for youngsters and teens by running a number of activities.
St Luke’s Hospice will be holding its “brightest event of the year” in Nantwich this September with their first ever “Colour Rush”.
The Colour Rush is a “colourful” twist on a family day out taking place in the parkland of Dorfold Hall, Nantwich, on Sunday September 18.
