Community stalwart Geoff Parsons MBE is to retire as chairman of the board of trustees for The Wingate Special Children’s Trust at the end of the year.

More than 30 housing associations registered in Cheshire East have been contacted by Cheshire East Council after the tragic death of a two-year-old boy.

A Wistaston householder has decorated his house in Christmas lights to raise money for charity.
For the sixth consecutive year Allyn Nightingale has dressed up his bungalow and driveway on Rope Bank Avenue with bells, baubles, hundreds of different coloured lights, lit-up trees and illuminated characters.
Students and staff from Reaseheath College and University Centre in Nantwich have pulled together to help local people in need over the festive period.
All departments collected non perishable food, household items, toiletries and festive treats in aid of Nantwich Foodbank.

Some warned at the council meeting this week that planners would have to go back to the drawing board if it was rejected.
“Outlook” exhibition by IntaStitch has opened at Nantwich Museum and runs until Saturday February 25.
It’s a free exhibition in the Millennium Gallery and features a variety of techniques, including printing, dying, embroidery, machine stitching, feltwork, painting, applique, quilting and more.
