A Stapeley Broad Lane pupil has won her local MP’s Christmas card competition – with her winning design presented to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Six-year-old Isabella Smith’s festive work was selected as winner by Crewe and Nantwich MP Dr Kieran Mullan.

Community stalwart Geoff Parsons MBE is to retire as chairman of the board of trustees for The Wingate Special Children’s Trust at the end of the year.

More delays to the re-opening of the A530 Middlewich Road between Nantwich and Leighton Hospital have been blamed on the weather.
