Queens Park in Crewe celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Queens Park in Crewe yesterday (June 3).
The celebration was free entry to all and took place from 11am to 6pm.
Owners of firearms in Cheshire have surrendered a total of 35 weapons along with ammunition.
The weapons included viable and imitation firearms including shotguns, rifles, pistols, BB guns and air rifles.

A beacon was lit on Nantwich town square last night (June 2) as part of Nantwich’s celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Nantwich beacon was one of more than 2,022 beacons that were lit throughout the United Kingdom and overseas to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Nantwich bell-ringers will be in action today (June 3) as they perform a special three-hour Platinum Jubilee Peal at St Mary’s Church.
Starting at 10am, they will perform a peal of “Cambridge Surprise Major” in recognition of the Queen’s 70 years.
