Local food exhibitors and chefs are lining up to take part in the Nantwich Food Festival in September, organisers say.
Food producers keen to be involved include Hannah from Sweet Peas in Nantwich, Sophie from award-winning vegan Vork Pies, Cheshire Pie Company from Sandbach, and chocolatier Paul and Gaynor of Sticky Chocolate Ltd.
The region’s top chefs, including this year’s BBC MasterChef winner Eddie Scott, will take to the stage at a new Nantwich festival.
Final preparations are being made for the first Dorfold Food and Drink Festival taking place July 23-24, in the parkland off Chester Road.
A “Pride in the Provinces: an LGBT History of Cheshire” talk will take place at Nantwich Museum on Saturday July 16.
The talk coincides with the planned Nantwich Pride event on the same day.
Nantwich Players are to host the world premiere of the English translation of Didier Caron’s classic French play, “Kiss Me Stupid”.
Translated and directed by Charlie Gobbett, the comedy makes the perfect ending to another successful season at the Nantwich Players Theatre.
Crewe Lyceum and pantomime producers Imagine Theatre have unveiled a star-studded line up for the panto season later this year.
It includes TV personality Louie Spence and Coronation Street favourite Jamie Kenna, as well as Channel 5 Milkshake! presenter Kiera-Nicole.
Organisers of the “Nanocon” Nantwich Comic Con event say it will now be free entry.
Some plans for a large event tomorrow (July 2) have had to be changed due to “unforseen circumstances”, says organiser Steve Howard.

The concert is part of the Summer Lunchtime Concerts series at St Mary’s Church, Nantwich.
