Some of Cheshire’s most beautiful gardens are being opened up to the public for all to enjoy in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
Several hospice supporters are opening their gardens this summer, while others who already open their gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme will raise money for the hospice through the sale of afternoon teas.

The annual “Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes” will take place in the village near Nantwich on Saturday June 10.
The quirky family-friendly event is organised by the Wybunbury Tower Preservation Trust and opens at 1pm with the pie rolling from 3pm.
Nantwich runners of all ages and abilities are being invited to take on the challenge of Mow Cop Killer Mile as the famous event returns for 2023.
The mile-long road race, which features 550 feet of continuous climbing and a 25% gradient in places, takes place on Thursday, May 11.
Everybody Health and Leisure has launched “This Girl Can” classes in Cheshire East.
The organisation has partnered with EMD UK, the national governing body for group exercise, to run the sessions.
South Cheshire Harriers’ annual Easter Sunday 10km race attracted special guest Port Vale Club President, John Rudge, as well as more than 300 runners from across the region.
The race, supported by Avanti West Coast, was a sell out event with male winner Alun Dight completing the course in 31:53 and female winner Donna Sherwin in 37:06.
Packed venues across Nantwich enjoyed a bumper Jazz & Blues Festival over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, which police say passed “largely peacefully”.
The festival featured more than 100 gigs at pubs, restaurants, and other sites across Nantwich.

Hundreds took place in the second annual “Nantwich 10k” road race to help raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The race took more than 1,000 participants on a 10k (6.2 miles) loop on closed roads, starting and finishing close to Nantwich town square.
The Cheshire Rural Touring Arts season is underway in spring with the touring theatre set to perform in villages across the county.
There will be high-quality performances in communities including Audlem, Plumley and Macclesfield over the spring season.

The 42nd ‘Marbury Merry Days’ two-day traditional country fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday May 13-14.
Gates open at 12.30pm and the fair takes places in the field next to St Michael & All Angels Parish Church and Marbury Big Mere, located three miles from Wrenbury and three miles from Whitchurch.
Organisers of Nantwich Food Festival have booked celebrity chefs ready for the 2023 event in September.
And these will include Simon Rimmer, co host of Sunday Brunch show on TV among other shows.
